Vocational Training Programs through Tulsa Technology Center 




Have you've always wanted to move up to the next level in your career? Or wanted to have a career? Now you can make that happen with help from Tulsa Technology Center. Classes and materials are provided at no cost to qualified applicants.

By completing short-term classes through Tulsa Technology Center, you can gain skills preparation for new and rewarding employment opportunities in targeted career areas.

Tulsa Technology Center is offering probationers, through Diversion Services, an opportunity get training in three (3) specialized programs:

1. Composite Material Construction:

Be a part of one of Tulsa's largest industries - Aviation! Tulsa Tech's Aerospace Manufacturing Technology program.

Learn about the light weight materials that make it possible for airplanes to get off the ground. You’ll get a detailed look at composite material like fiberglass, graphite, Kevlar laminates and sandwich panels. Once you’re familiar with these materials, you’ll build prototype structures out of them.

2. Machining 

Good money!! Fun work!! Do you like to work with your hands? If so, come join the high-paying, exciting world of manufacturing and learn the very latest in Machining operations at Tulsa Tech with no expense to you. 

Start building the foundation of your career as a Machinist! In this course you’ll learn the fundamentals of machine shop work, from how to read blue prints and operate machine tools to machine shop math. You’ll also learn the theory behind operating principals of lathe and milling machines.

3. Welding

Given its role in building and repairing everything from pipelines to spacecraft, welding holds increasing job opportunities as the demand for skilled craftsmen grows. 

Tulsa Tech’s Welding Technology program provides training to develop skills in the following processes of welding: Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc, Flux Cored Arc, and Gas Tungsten Arc welding.
