 Assistant Restaurant Supervisor - LaFortune Park

Job Definition: Under general supervision, supervises part-time staff and prepares and cooks orders for park restaurant customers.
Job Grade: 30
Description: Supervises and coordinates part-time employees. Prepares and cooks food orders for restaurant customers. Receives payment, makes change, and operates a cash register. Maintains equipment, floors, tables, food services areas in a clean and sanitary condition. Receives and verifies delivery of food products and supplies. Counts receipts and completes business reports and bank deposit slips. Prepares change orders weekly. Assists in training and corrective actions of part-time employees. Assists in training and corrective actions of part-time employees. Assist Health Inspector insuring any corrections that can be made are made immediately and copying report to management. Follows daily check list (A.M. - P.M.). Straightens, organizes, cleans and condenses storage areas and general cleaning the restaurant. Prepares, posts and advertises weekly food specials. Prepare and copy reports (food inventory, soft drink inventory, etc.) to the manager. Assists in counting inventory results. Assists in record keeping employee safety meetings. Stocks soft drink machines on the golf course and prepares deposit (LaFortune only). Prepares food purchase list for items purchased at food store. Informs management of equipment malfunctions or deficiencies. Checks beverage cart personnel in and out. Must be able to work flexible hours and days and be available for longer hours due to shortage of part-time employees. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills: Skilled in food preparation; in use of restaurant equipment; in personal computers; in maintaining records. Knowledge of food preparation; of cleaning; of safety requirements; of records keeping. Ability to operate a cash register; to count money; to complete cash reports and bank deposits; to meet and deal tactfully with the public; to follow written and oral instructions; to supervise part-time employees.
Education / Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and over one year satisfactory paid employment as a short order cook and demonstrated ability to operate a cash register and supervise employees.
Licenses/Certificates: Valid Oklahoma Drivers License Current Food Handlers License Must be to obtain a bond
Salary Range: $1,853.40 per month
Work Schedule: Restaurant Hours of Operation - 6:00am - 10:00pm, 7 days per week; Varied Schedule
