Commissioner Ron Peters, District 3 (Chairman)
Ron Peters, received both his Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Certificate of Management degrees from the University of Tulsa. As a native Tulsan, Ron appreciates the unique community spirit that makes Tulsa such a great place to live. He and his wife Bonnie have been married for 48 years. They have two children, and six grandchildren, all who live in the Tulsa area. This deep-rooted connection inspires him to work hard to make Tulsa County a better place to live, work and raise a family. And, a place of choice for young professionals.
Ron was a co-owner and President of a local public relations firm, RelationsInc., and as such, understands the importance of small business and free enterprise to our state. Prior to opening RelationsInc., Ron worked over 30 years in the oil and gas business. The vast majority of that time for Cities Service and Occidental Oil and Gas Companies. During his tenure at Oxy, Ron directed their Government and Public Affairs effort.
Commitment To Our Community
Ron has worked on the Boards of many non-profits trying to make a difference in people’s lives, and to make Tulsa and Oklahoma a better place to live. Ron is a tireless advocate working to stop domestic violence, striving for the prevention and treatment of child abuse, and for quality end-of-life care for the terminally ill.
