Description
|
Supervises and coordinates part-time employees. Prepares and cooks orders for restaurant customers. Receives payment, makes change, and operates cash register. Maintains equipment, floors, tables, service areas, and prep areas in a clean and sanitary condition. Receives and verifies delivery of food products and supplies. Counts receipts and completes business reports and bank deposit slips. Prepares change orders weekly. Assists in training and correction actions of part-time employees. Assists Health Inspector insuring any corrections that can be made are made immediately and copying report to management. Follows daily check list (A.M. - P.M.). Straightens, organizes, cleans and condenses storage areas and general cleaning of restaurant. Prepares, posts and advertises weekly food specials. Prepare and copy reports (food inventory, Pepsi inventory, etc.) to manager. Assists in counting inventory. Assists in recordkeeping of employee safety meetings. Stocks pop machines on golf course and prepares deposit (LaFortune only). Prepares grocery list for items purchased at food store. Informs management of equipment breakdowns or deficiencies. Checks beverage cart personnel in and out. Must be able to work flexible hours and days and be available for longer hours due to shortage of part-time employees. Preforms other duties as assigned.

|
Skill in food preparation; use of restaurant equipment; of personal computers; and in maintaining records. Knowledge of food preparation; of cleaning; and of safety requirements; and of recordkeeping. Ability to operate a cash register; to count money; to complete cash reports and bank deposits; to meet and deal tactfully with the public; to follow written and oral instructions; and to supervise part-time employees.

Education / Experience
|
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and over one year satisfactory paid employment as a short order cook and demonstrated ability to operate cash register and supervise employees.
