 Description
  Directs workers in park construction projects and facility maintenance, such as concession buildings, restrooms, picnic shelters and tables, walks, backstops and fencing. Serves as liaison to outside contractors. Prepares cost estimates for each construction, repair or maintenance project. Plans, schedules, coordinates, and directs activities of workers engaged in plumbing, electrical, welding or related trades. Coordinates and directs the heavy equipment operators. Requests purchase order for materials needed for projects. Assigns personnel and equipment to construction projects; checks ongoing jobs to insure conformance to standard and proper completion. Assists and directs workers in construction and repair of shelters, driveways, walks, playground equipment and other park buildings and facilities. Inspects areas to determine new construction, repair and maintenance needs. Executes personnel policies in accordance with established procedures. Trains employees in construction work. Assists park planner on construction details. Maintains Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) concerning Chemicals and other hazards. Performs other duties as assigned.
 Required Skills
  Skill in planning, supervising and coordinating the work of a group of workers engaged in all phases of construction, maintenance and repair of park structures and facilities; in operation of power and hand construction tools and equipment. Knowledge of park construction, repair and maintenance; of the hazards and safety precautions of the work; of construction documents; of current construction principles; of departmental policies and procedures; of training techniques; and of supervisory principles and practices. Ability to plan, organize and control the work of others; to organize and present facts and opinions clearly and concisely; to reason analytically; to make major mathematical calculations; to relate abstract ideas to actual needs; and to maintain the physical stamina necessary to perform heavy manual labor.
 Education / Experience
  Graduation from a standard four year high school and the completion of a two year Vo-Tech or Technical school in construction, five years of satisfactory, full time paid employment in construction and repair, including two years of supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of education or experience, substituting one year of satisfactory, full time paid employment for one year of the required education with a maximum substitution of two years.
 Licenses / Certificates
  Valid CDL Class A Certified in Refinery, Industrial Pipe and Plate Welding Oklahoma Concrete Technician Certification
 Salary Range
  $3,162.50

  8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday
