Where History & Progress Meet Thought process behind the new Tulsa County Logo When designing the logo for Tulsa County I did some research into the history, culture, and events that play major keys in the development of the region. The Native American influence and heritage was prominent in the early development of the area. I also found that during the Oil Boom many buildings were built with the influence of the Art Deco era. Many of these buildings are prominent buildings in the downtown area of Tulsa. Knowing that both of these influences play a large role in the county I started to find ways to incorporate them into the logo. The design represents the artwork of Native Americans, with large feather like shapes and bright colors. The Art Deco influence is found in the geometric shapes, colors, and typography. Paul Turley |
