The Native American influence and heritage was prominent in the early development of the area. I also found that during the Oil Boom many buildings were built with the influence of the Art Deco era. Many of these buildings are prominent buildings in the downtown area of Tulsa.</font></p><p><font style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt" face="Tahoma"> </font></p><p><font style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt" face="Tahoma">Knowing that both of these influences play a large role in the county I started to find ways to incorporate them into the logo. The design represents the artwork of Native Americans, with large feather like shapes and bright colors.
